NATIONAL VOLUNTEER COUNCIL ON FREEDMEN AFFAIRS WELCOMES YOU
OUR CORE MISSION
The mission of The National Volunteer Council on Freedmen Affairs (NVCFA) is to lead and empower a national coalition of grassroots reparative justice activists and volunteers, advocating for lineage-based reparations for American Freedmen—the descendants of persons enslaved in the United States of America. NVCFA is dedicated to the advancement of reparative and restorative justice through local, state and federal legislation for Black American Freedmen. With a deep understanding of the historical and ongoing impact of slavery, NVCFA advocates for comprehensive legislative redress and lineage-based reparations to rectify the unpaid debt, and the perpetual injustices suffered by the descendant class.
OUR VISION
The vision for NVCFA extends beyond lineage-based reparations and promotes ideas for a robust Black agenda that will address all systemic inequalities faced by Black communities in the U.S. This agenda encompasses key areas such as education, housing, healthcare, human services, and constitutional civil rights. By advocating for comprehensive reforms in these areas, NVCFA seeks to create a more equitable society that benefits not only individual American Freedmen but also uplifts the entire Black community.
